Hamilton Precision Metals is a leading manufacturer of precision metal strip and ultra‑thin foil. We are one of six businesses within AMETEK Specialty Metal Products (SMP), a global business unit of AMETEK Inc. specializing in advanced metallurgical materials for critical applications.

Hamilton Precision Metals is the premium manufacturer of heavy gauge strip, light gauge strip, and ultra-thin foil for the aerospace, electronics, energy, and medical markets.

We have the unique ability to deliver a customized product to exceptionally tight tolerances—delivering consistent mechanical, electrical, and magnetic properties alongside highly controlled, application‑specific surface finishes.

We custom engineer metal strip and foil in nearly any alloy and specialty metal to the tightest tolerances and thinnest gauges in the industry – down to 1.5 microns (.000060”) in thickness. That’s about 1.5% the thickness of a human hair!

Hamilton Precision Metals traces its origins back to 1939, when it emerged from the Hamilton Watch Company. What began as a specialized metal‑rolling operation has grown into a global leader and the premier manufacturer precision strip and ultra‑thin foil. Explore our history.
